Corporate Insolvency Manager                  Leeds            £40k+

An Experienced Corporate Insolvency Manager is sought by our International Turnaround and Restructuring practice at their office in Leeds.  Applicants must have experience in Advisory and Formal insolvency assignments

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Manager within their Turnaround and Restructuring office based in Leeds. The individual will work on a range of advisory and formal insolvency engagements supporting the case managing director and/or director in dealing with clients. The successful candidate will also oversee the development of junior members of staff.

This opportunity would suit a professional and committed individual with a desire to further develop their career in advisory, planning and execution in a demanding and challenging client facing environment. Business development, client management and report writing are key skills as well as the ability to conduct analysis of financial statements and work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of a case/variety of cases
  • Produce business reviews and strategy reports including the design of creative contingency plans
  • Review and critically analyse complex sets of financial statements or projections to make recommendations, spot trends and anomalies
  • Conduct difficult negotiations and provide relevant, timely and accurate information
  • Responsible for achieving all statutory and client led deadlines
  • Manage and deliver a superior client service to multiple clients
  • Maintain and constantly upgrade technical knowledge
  • Assist the director and managing director in developing market contacts to generate new work opportunities
  • Participate in business development projects such as presentations, organising marketing events and writing articles
  • Responsible for mentoring and developing junior members of staff, providing constructive feedback on a formal and informal basis.

Background & Qualifications

  • Typically ACA or ACCA qualified (but not essential)
  • Degree qualified (2.1 or above) and a minimum of 300 UCAS points
  • A strong understanding of financial accounting principles
  • Solid experience of formal insolvency skills
  • An enquiring mind with a desire to undertake advisory work
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills essential
  • Knowledge of IPS is an advantage but not essential
  • Language skills are desirable but are not essential

Additional Information

You will be required to work occasionally at other offices in the UK 

or overseas

Salary c£45k+ pa
