Restructuring + Insolvency Manager      East Midlands     £35-45k                                                            

An experienced Restructuring and Insolvency Manager is sought by our East Midlands based leading  business advisory practice to take responsibility for managing all types of insolvency assignments and leading a small team.

Our client is one of the Midlands leading business advisory practices offering a complete range of business advice mainly to the SME market.  Our client has offices across the Midlands and offers both it's clients and staff an innovative experience, breaking the mould of the traditional accountancy practice.  

The Role 

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate + personal insolvency cases
  • Understands and has sufficient managerial and commercial knowledge to be able to control a business.
  • Identifies case related problems and is developing the breadth of technical knowledge to solve these.
  • Plan case strategy
  • Ensures cases are completed within budget
  • Writes reports on complex matters to banks and liquidation committees
  • Developing the ability to direct and conduct all but the largest cases without supervision, both corporate and personal.
  • Perform initial interviews, with partner support if necessary, with directors or debtors in complex or trading cases or where there are significant assets
  • Leads, controls and directs several large complex cases at once
  • Raise fees.
  • Performs WIP valuations.
  • Control debtors ledger, collection and provisioning
  • Participate in non chargeable projects as directed.
  • Instructs solicitors on all case matters
  • Represents the partner at meetings when required.
  • Keeps people informed, manage deadlines and prioritises.
  • Manages external relationships by ensuring prompt responses to letters and calls.
  • Looks for ways to improve her/ himself and the firm.
  • Business development assisting in networking and promotion of the firm
  • Managing, developing and engaging staff
  • Representing the IP at meetings

 


Experience and Skills 

  • A minimum of 7 years insolvency experience
  • Previous management and team leadership experience in an insolvency practice
  • Has a thorough knowledge of all forms of formal insolvency procedure.
  • Understands and manages risk within potential and current cases
  • Keeps CPD up to date


Salary

A competitive salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 is negotiable for this role subject to experience and qualifications.
