Would you like to be a Junior Partner in a new  insolvency practice that you can help set up?

If these apply to you, then  we have a client who is looking for you to help set up an new insolvency practice.  Our client will provide both the finance and a good flow of insolvency cases to get the practice up and running.

This is a great and rare opportunity for either a manager or, senior manager looking for the next step, or an appointment taking Insolvency Practitioner seeking a new challenge.   The role will be based either in Hampshire, or at a new office in the South of England.

Our Client

Our client is an established accountancy group offering a range of services to its clients in the South of England.  They currently refer solvent and insolvent  clients to third party insolvency practitioners, but as many of these are MVLs, they would now like to take these into the new insolvency practice.  Our client currently generates between £150,000 and £200,000 of fees from these referrals and these would form the base of the new practice going forward.  Our client has also identified a potential significant increase in these types of appointments in the future. 

Role

The role is likely to suit either a manager, or senior manager looking for their first appointment taking role, or an established IP who seeks a new challnge.

Initailly, the majority of cases are expected to be non-complex MVLs and some CVLs.  As the office becomes established, the mix of work is likely to increase into all aspects of corporate insolvency.

  • Help set up a new insolvency office - either based at one of our client's existing offices in Hampshire or at a new location in the South of England 
  • Manage and take appointments of a portfolio of mainly MVL and CVL cases initially
  • Assist growing the business - ultimately offering a variety of corporate insolvency services
  • Recruit a team as the business grows 

Experience and Qualifications

  • JIEB Qualified - Essential
  • Proven track record or winning business in the North of England
  • At least c10 years Corporate Insolvency Experience
  • Good knowledge of all types of both corporate insolvency, particularly MVLs initially
  • Excellent communicator
  • Team manager 

Salary 

A salary package is negotiable for the right candidate, but as a guide, the salary package is likely to be c£75,000pa , together with an equity stake in the new practice, subject to experience and skills that the candidate is able to bring to the role.
