Our Leicestershire based accountancy practice client is looking to recruit an Insolvency Practitioner to help establish a new department at their office to service its regular flow of insolvency and advisory assignments.

Our Client

Our client is an established accountancy and business advisory practice that is now embarking on its next phase of growth.  Our client's plans include setting up a business recovery and insolvency department to service the business recovery and insolvency instructions which our client generates partly through the internet and which are currently referred out.  The majority of cases are CVLs and CVAs with some IVAs for directors, but in time our client intends to attract other types of business recovery enquiries.

The Role 

  • Take responsibilty for new corporate and personal insolvency assignments  - CVLs, CVAs, MVLs, Admins and IVAs
  • Be commercial in terms of giving advice, recognising opportunities and managing the department
  • Help establish the new department, setting up systems and in time recruiting and managing a small team
  • Identify new ways of generating new business
  • Build a network of work referrers over time (there is no requirement to have an established network on day one)
  • Undertake all the usual functions of an IP managing cases, staff and improving profitability 
  • Working alongside the general practice partners and management to grow our client's practice
Experience and Skills 
  • JIEB qualified
  • Corporate and personal Insolvency background
  • Minimum of 7 years insolvency experience
  • Commercial, enthusiastic and switched-on attitude to business
  • Willingness and perhaps untapped ability to build a network of work referrers in due course (there is no requirement for the successful candidate to have a referrer base initially)
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Highly professional and respected
  • CPD up to date

Salary

A salary package of between £60,000 and £70,000 is negotiable for this role subject to experience and qualifications, but most of all what you are to bring to the client's business over and above the technical skills that are presumed in any IP.   The role would suit a first time appointment taker or established IP.
