Corporate Insolvency Manager (or Assistant Manager)      

Nottingham      £35 to £45k (Subject to experience)

Our growing Nottingham based business recovery and insolvency client is looking to recruit a Corporate Insolvency Manager, or aspiring Corporate Insolvency Assistant Manager, to join their specialist insolvency and business recovery team, to take responsibility for a variety of corporate insolvency assignments and manage a small team.  Experience of dealing with Administrations is essential.

Our client is a specialist business recovery and insolvency practice, which has seen considerable growth and is moving rapidly upmarket taking on more complex and challenging assignments.  Our client deals with both corporate and personal insolvency assignments, although this role is in the corporate team.  The firm is raising its profile and establishing relationships with banks and other large organisations.

The Role

The role is that of a Corporate Insolvency Manager within the Corporate Team. You will be responsible for a caseload of CVL’s, MVL’s, Fixed Charge Receiverships and Administrations, ensuring that all statutory responsibilities are fulfilled and the IP’s duties to maximise realisations for the benefit of creditors.  The nature of the cases is increasingly complex so you must be prepared to repond to a challenging environment.

You will be responsible for a team of 7 professional staff although the firm also has creditor support staff and business development managers.   You will therefore be required to manage the team day to day, dealing with any staffing issues as they arise.

The candidate must be able to manage own workload and meet time critical deadlines; therefore, demonstrating excellent organisational skills. 

A commercial outlook is essential, ensuring that the firm’s reputation and standards are maintained at all times. 

You will work closely with IP’s and other team members to ensure cases progress and close in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • At least 5 years’ experience of corporate insolvency, including Administrations
  • Strong character
  • Excellent case management skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Clear thinker
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products and IPS. 
  • Good report writing skills
  • Confident communicator

Salary

A competitive salary of between £35k and £45k  is negotiable for the role depending on experience
