Insolvency Cashier         

Leeds £20-26k

An Insolvency Cashier is sought by an Insolvency practice client of ours to support its Leeds office and other offices in the North East.

Our Client

Our client is one of the UK's leading corporate insolvency & business recovery firms with offices across the UK. They are continuing to grow and develop services to mainly SME companies.

The Role 

  • Daily data input to Insolvency Practitioners Software
  • Deal with daily post and banking and reconcile client accounts
  • Monthly bordereaux
  • Deal with telephone/email enquiries from colleagues from other offices, banks and HMRC
  • Processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings.
  • Processing of dividend payments
  • Processing of VAT and Corporation Tax returns
  • The preparation of cheques and processing of bank transfers in accordance with Procedures.
  • The control and administration of client/office ledgers and deposit accounts.
  • Investment of funds
  • Perform a variety of routine & non routine tasks without supervision
  • Help to sort out any queries which may arise on any Receipt & Payments.
  • To ensure the cashier function is fully compliant with all current legislation, Data Protection and regulatory requirements are met
Experience and Skills 
  • Ideally, you will have a proven track record of working in a cashiering setting within a professional services firm (Insolvency or legal)
  • Good technical knowledge of cashiering
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision
  • Accurate data-entry skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
  • Insolvency cashiering experience preferable but not essential but working in an accounting environment is preferred.

Salary

A  salary of £20-26k pa is negotiable for this role subject to experience and qualifications.
