Our Manchester specialist investigations client is looking for an experienced Investigations Manager, with an understanding of investigation systems and tools, computer forensic platforms, and who also has a
very good understanding of the Insolvency Act, to lead the case management of a variety of investigation assignments
Our Client
Our client is an independent practice that deals with complex and challenging investigations into both
corporate and personal insolvency cases as well as other areas of fraud and unusual transactions.
The Role
The successful candidate will work very closely with the director investigating and analysing clients’ financial reports,
transactional data, company accounts and statutory data which will result in locating and recovering of assets (in whatever form these may be) that have been
misappropriated whether through fraudulent or other activities.
The role will require interviewing directors and other parties, collating evidence and close liaison with advising solicitors and barristers and preparing cases for presentation at Court
Not all assignments will be insolvency related and the successful candidate must be able to adapt skills to fit a variety of situations.
Key Skills and Experience
Have at least 5 yrs experience of working in Insolvency
within a similar role
- Thorough understanding of Insolvency legislation
- Excellent analytical skills and a logical approach
Experienced in Compliance and Investigations
Understanding of technical aspects concerning a set
of accounts including the effects of taxes
Ability to be professional and approachable with
clients and staff
- Ability to use own initiative when required
- Clear thinking and excellent report writing and communication skills
- An accountancy or
insolvency qualification would be advantageous, but not essential
Additional requirements
Candidates will be required to submit detailed examples of cases you have been involved with to highlight the range of skills and experiences that you may have had in the area of complex investigation assignments.
Salary
A competitive salary between £35,000 and £50,000 per annum (dependent
upon experience and qualification)
